How do I optimise rounds?
There's an automatic and manual way to keep rounds optimised in getSoapy.
If you've selected the Keep optimised option, the round will be automatically optimised for you. Whenever a job is added or removed from the round, getSoapy will automatically optimise the order of the round so you spend less time travelling between jobs.
You can also:
- manually optimise a round
- manually reorder jobs in a round
- switch between automatic and manual optimisation
Route optimisation is available on the Advanced and Pro plans.
Automatic optimisation always starts and ends at your business address. When you optimise a round yourself you can choose where it starts and ends. Neither takes into account time of day, job duration, or traffic in the same way the automatic scheduling feature does.
Manually optimise a round
Go to
Tools>Plan>Roundsand click on the round you want to optimise.Click on the menu icon in the top-right corner and select
Optimise round.

Choose where the route starts and ends:
My business address,My current locationorAn address. ChooseAny jobif you don't need to travel from or back to anywhere, and getSoapy picks whichever job works best to start or end on. Only one end can beAny job.Leave
ProvideronAutomaticand getSoapy picks a provider that can take your round. To choose one yourself, switchAutomaticoff and pick fromOptimise with. Each provider has a limit on how many jobs it can order (Mapbox 10, Google 25, HERE 200, Geoapify 298), and only some can start at any job (Geoapify) or end at any job (HERE and Geoapify), so any that can't take your round are greyed out.Click
Optimise. A big round can take a few moments, and we'll show a confirmation message once it's done.
getSoapy remembers your choices for next time.
Manually reorder jobs in a round
This option only works if you have not selected the Keep optimised option. Otherwise, getSoapy will automatically reorder the jobs to minimise travelling time.
Go to
Tools>Plan>Roundsand click on the round you want to re-order.Click on the menu icon in the top-right corner and select
Reorder jobs.

Drag and drop the jobs in the order you want (with the last job at the bottom of the page).
When you're happy (or happy with the order at least), click
Saveat the top of the page.
