How do I change my notification settings?

We get that everyone has different preferences when it comes to notifications. Here's how to set yours:

  1. Go to Tools > Settings > My Account > App Notifications or search for App Notifications.

  2. Under Delivery methods, turn on the ways you want getSoapy to notify you, then click Save:

In app

Notifications on your phone or tablet. You'll also need to enable app notifications on your device for this to work
Email
Sent to your email address
SMS
Sent to your mobile number

  1. Under What you hear about, tap a group to see the notifications in it, such as payments received or customer messages. Tap a notification, choose how you want to receive it and click Save. Use Turn all off or Turn all on to change every notification at once.

Notifications marked Required always use certain methods, whatever your delivery methods say.

  1. Under Quiet hours, toggle Hold back notifications overnight to hold back push, email and SMS notifications outside certain times. By default, anything after 22:00 waits until 07:00 the next day. Tap a time to adjust it, then click Save. Your notification list still updates, and security alerts are never held back.

Enable app notifications on your device

If you've turned on Push you'll also need to grant getSoapy permission from your device settings. We'll try to take care of this for you when you first install getSoapy.

You'll see the option to enable notifications on the dashboard. Click Yes please, and then Allow. If push is blocked, the App Notifications page also shows a warning with a button to allow notifications or open your device settings. If this doesn't work, you might need to enable notifications in your device settings:

iOS (iPhone & iPad)

  1. Go to Settings on your device.
  2. Select Notifications.
  3. Scroll down and select getSoapy.
  4. Toggle Allow Notifications to enable app notifications.
  5. Open the getSoapy app again and click Yes please when prompted.
    This time the message should disappear and you should start receiving app notifications.

Android

  1. Go to Settings on your device.
  2. Select Apps.
  3. Select getSoapy. If it's not listed in your "Recently opened apps", click See all apps.
  4. Select Notifications.
  5. Toggle All getSoapy notifications to enable app notifications.
  6. Open the getSoapy app again and click Yes please when prompted.
    This time the message should disappear and you should start receiving app notifications.

There's a lot of variation between different Android versions and devices, so if you can't find the settings above, try searching for "notifications" in the Settings app.
