How do I add a custom domain to my getSoapy website?

How do I get a custom domain?

You'll first need to buy your own domain from a domain registrar. It sounds more complicated than it is. Just think of it like a shop for website addresses. Once you've brought your own domain, follow the steps below to connect it to your getSoapy website.

Choose a domain that's simple and easy to spell. This will save you having to spell it out each time you tell a customer about your website!

Add your custom domain on the Pro Plan:

Once you've brought your custom domain, you'll need to connect it to your getSoapy website:

If you haven't already, set up your getSoapy website (see How do I set up my free website?).
Go to More > Website > Custom domain.
Enter the custom domain you purchased, including the extension (that's usually '.co.uk' or '.com') and click Add domain.
getSoapy will give you some DNS details. You can tap on these to copy them.
Go back to your domain registrar. There, find the area to change or add DNS details. Use the settings provided in the previous step from getSoapy. If you're unsure how, the registrar's help or FAQ section can guide you.

And that's it! It can take time for the domain settings to take effect, but your getSoapy website will shortly be visible under your own custom domain.
