We've hardly finished our Christmas dinner and yet there's already a ton of major updates with getSoapy. Here's a quick rundown of what we've been up to so far this year.
Complete Redesign: User-Centric Navigation
Listening to our users is at the heart of what we do, and your input has spearheaded a complete overhaul of the getSoapy app. The new design focuses on speed and simplicity, making it more intuitive for you to navigate through the app's features. The introduction of a bottom-tab navigation allows for quick switching between sections, which means less time tapping and more time doing.
The redesign isn't just cosmetic either. We've made under-the-hood improvements to enhance the app's performance. We recognize that every business is different and as you expand you may find a niche that only you can deliver. That's why we've expanded the ability to add custom services to the getSoapy app. Now, you can tailor the app to reflect the full range of services your business provides, all with a few simple taps.
This feature not only allows for personalization but also contributes to a more organized workflow. By categorizing your services you can deliver quotes or add customers faster than ever before.

Customer Access Revamped: The Pin Number Advantage
We've introduced a whole new way for your customers to log in to their customer portal.
Now, they can use a pin number to access their account, making it easier than ever for them to pay their invoices and manage their bookings.
This is better in several ways. Firstly, it allows you to provide the customers with the pin in person, slip it through their door, or share it over the phone. It's also easy for them to pass the pin to someone else, like a family member or friend, so they can manage their account on their behalf.
It also avoids a problem that was becoming more frequent: phone networks blocking the SMS messages we send to customers. This was happening as networks crack down on spam messages, but it meant that some customers weren't receiving their login link. Now, they can simply use the pin number instead.
The direct login links are still available and offer a great customer experience for emails, but the pin number is a fantastic alternative for SMS messages and for customers who don't have an email address.
Record cash payments
In the digital age, cash still remains a significant mode of transaction for many businesses and customers. Recognizing this, we've added a feature to record cash payments in the getSoapy app. This new functionality simplifies the way you manage and track cash flow, ensuring that all financial transactions are accounted for in one place.
This feature also makes it easier to reconcile your accounts and prepare for tax time. With all your income recorded in the app, you can quickly generate reports that reflect the true financial health of your business. It's about making the accounting side of things less of a chore, so you can focus more on serving your customers and growing your business.
Ultimately, the introduction of cash payment recording in getSoapy is about providing flexibility and convenience for both you and your customers, while keeping your bookkeeping spot on.
