You can now set a different invoice lead time for each customer

You can now set payment terms for each customer. This is useful if you want 14 days for domestic work and 30 days for commercial jobs, for example.

How to set it:

  • Go to Manage > Customers, open the customer
  • Tap the menu in the top right and choose Edit customer
  • Set the Invoice lead time, then save

On your invoices:

Add {{invoice.leadTime}} to your invoice template to show the customer's lead time on the PDF.

Good to know:

  • Changing a customer's lead time won't change the due date on invoices you've already issued
  • On those existing invoices created before this feature was added, the merge tag may show the new lead time, not the lead time when it was originally issued
  • Overdue reminders use the lead time set on the customer, and continue to use the account lead time if no lead time is set on the customer
  • Want to update lots of customers at once? Ask Sid to do it for you.

If you want to change the invoice lead time for everyone, go to More > Payments > Payment options and set Invoice lead time there.

Cheers to everyone who asked for this. Have a suggestion? Tell Sid and he'll pass it on.
