May 2026 release recap

Posted by getSoapy on 9th June 2026 in Product Updates . Last updated: 9th June 2026

May was all about saving you time in the real world, on the road, in the diary, and in the “where’s that money got to?” bits of the week. Here’s what’s new.

Blocked dates per worker (Advanced + Pro)

Blocked dates used to block everyone, which was fine until one person booked a day off and the whole team got treated like it was Christmas.

Now you can block dates for a specific worker, so you can keep planning the rest of the team as normal, and still stop jobs being booked for the person who’s away, on holiday, sick, or stuck waiting for a van in the garage.

Where to find it: Tools → Plan → Calendar → Block dates

New Work Summary Report

We’ve added a Work Summary Report to help you keep track of your team’s workload, without having to squint at the calendar and guess who’s snowed under.

It includes:

  • Completed work value for your chosen date range
  • Work value by worker, so you can quickly see how the workload is split
  • Total work value by worker over time, handy for spotting trends week to week
  • Total work value by round over time, so you can see which rounds have brought in the most revenue

Where to find it: Reports in the tools menu

Got ideas for what the report should show next? Tell Sid, he’s genuinely nosey about this stuff.

Better map lines in Work view (clearer routes)

If you run a few rounds in a day, or you’ve got more than one worker out, the map route line can get a bit “spaghetti junction”.

You can now group jobs when drawing the route line, so the map makes sense at a glance, group by Round or by Assigned worker, and you’ll see a clear route line for each group.

Where to find it: Work view → Preferences

Bonus tweak, the job history export now includes the customer phone number and email address too.

If you’re already using getSoapy as your job scheduling app for trades, this should make day-to-day planning feel a lot calmer.

New protections for payments (payment limits rolling out)

To protect the getSoapy payment platform for all users, we’re introducing new limits on payments.

The limits apply to card, mobile, direct debit and Pay by Bank transactions, and automatically increase over time based on your payment volume. These are designed to protect you and your customers from fraud and abuse, without getting in the way of your business.

Where to check yours: Settings → Payments → Payment options

If you need to adjust these limits (or have any questions), please drop us a message.

Estimated availability on the Payouts page

On the Payouts page, you can now see estimated dates and amounts for when customer payments will be available for payout.

This helps you plan ahead and know what’s likely to land in your payable balance next.

Tap an address to open directions (Customers + Quotes)

We’ve made the address on customer and quote pages clickable, so you can just tap it and jump straight into directions in your maps app. No more copying or faffing about.

It’ll open in the same navigation app you’ve already picked in the Work view (Google Maps by default, plus Apple Maps and Waze).

Thanks to everyone who voted for this in Feature suggestions, it genuinely helps us focus on what’ll save you time day to day.
