Hey there, getSoapy heroes! We're chuffed to bits to bring you this month's release radar, packed with updates that aim to make running your local service business smoother and more efficient. For August, we've been busy making tweaks and adding enhancements, all with you in mind. Whether you're keeping an eye on fuel prices or freshening up your online presence with a new website theme, we've got something for everyone. So, grab a cuppa and let's dive into the highlights of what's new in your trusty getSoapy app.
Get the Best Fuel Price
Sid's got your back when it's time to fill up the tank. Now, with just a quick word, Sid can help you spot the best fuel prices near your business or on your route to the next job. Keep more cash in your pocket by checking diesel or petrol prices from all major stations. Whether you're zipping around town or heading to your next gig, this feature ensures you're saving a bit extra every time.
Shine Online with the Signal Theme
Your online presence just got a bit more polished, thanks to the new Signal theme for your getSoapy website. This update is all about showcasing your work with style, featuring a scrolling gallery to highlight your best images and a responsive design that's perfect for larger screens. Whether customers are browsing on their phones or desktops, your site will look sharp and professional. Plus, with your chosen brand colour woven in subtly, your website will maintain its unique feel while still feeling fresh and modern. Ready to make the switch? Head over to the website settings and give Signal a try. And if you haven't yet got a free website for your local service business, now's the perfect time.
Take Charge of Your Customer Data
You're the captain of your ship, and now you have even more control over your customer information. Whether it's archiving, anonymising, or completely deleting customer details, getSoapy empowers you to manage data on your terms. Archiving keeps records tidy, while anonymising helps tick those GDPR compliance boxes by removing personal info but keeping work history intact. And if a clean slate is what you need, fully deleting a customer wipes all traces from your account. It's all about giving you that peace of mind, knowing your customer management is sorted. Other Updates
We're always looking for ways to make your day-to-day a little bit easier. This month, you'll find more flexibility in setting job durations, allowing you to tailor timings down to the minute. Whether it's a quick five-minute fix or a full half-day project, you can set job durations that suit you and your customers best. You'll also see quick options for your most common durations, saving you even more time.
Managing payments just got a bit more streamlined too. Now, when you import bank transactions, they can be automatically confirmed and applied to your customers' balances, making payment management smoother. No need to worry about losing track, though β manual reviews and changes are still an option whenever you need them. For more on managing payments, explore our bank reconciliation software for window cleaners.
Finally, to keep your job management neat and tidy, you can now search for jobs without an assigned round. Simply select 'None' under the round filter, and you'll see all the jobs waiting to be organised. For more streamlined handling of all your jobs, check out our job scheduling app for trades.
Here's to more efficient workdays!
